This Policy applies to personal information Professionals Australia collects from you:
- via one of our websites;

- via email;
- via fax;

Aside from forms that you knowingly complete, Professionals Australia websites collect two types of information. The first type is anonymous informationusing google analytics. The web server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:

- the date and time of the visit to the site;

- when we are legally required to do so; or
- it is unreasonable or impractical to do so.

Your decision to interact anonymously or by using a pseudonym may affect the level of services we can offer you though.
The purposes for which personal information is collected, held, used and disclosed
Professionals Australia only collects personal information that is necessary for it to perform its functions and/or activities. When you provide your personal information, it allows us to provide services to you, such as:
- determining eligibility to be accredited
- ensuring ongoing requirements of accreditation are met
- manage our relationship with you.
Disclosure of personal information
Any information provided to Professionals Australia is used only for the provision of services to its members and other clients. It is not provided to any other third party except where necessary to provide our primary services, where required to do so by law or where your consent has been provided. This will include advising necessary statutory bodies of your accreditation.
Wherever reasonably practicable we hold electronic personal information on data servers that are owned and controlled by the Professionals Australia in Australia. The data servers are password protected and login secured. However, by providing personal information to us you consent to your information being stored and processed on a data server or data servers (e.g. cloud services) owned by a third party or third parties that may be located outside of Australia. Professionals Australia will take reasonable steps to ensure that any third party providers comply with the APPs.
Wherever reasonably practicable, we hold physical personal information in access controlled premises.
Seeking access and/or correction to personal information
